What inspired you to become tax accountants?
We’ve always been numbers people. Michael has worked in the banking industry for over 20 years, and I’ve actually always wanted to be an accountant. I began working at a small tax firm in my twenties, and received my B.S. in Accounting and Enrolled Agent license during that time. In 2020, we felt it was time to combine our professional talents and start a family business focused on providing exceptional tax services and excellent customer service.

What led you to specialize in HOA and Non-Resident taxes?
While employed at a CPA firm, I began working with a few Non-Resident clients. The tax rules are different for those living outside of the U.S. and earning income here, and I loved working with those clients to produce the best tax results for their situation. From there, my international clients grew to more than 400 annual tax returns, and I now have more than a decade of experience working within the IRS tax code for US Non-Residents.
A large HOA management company reached out to the CPA firm to complete the tax returns for their Homeowners Associations, and I spearheaded the project. For several years, I managed a team of tax professionals to prepare and file more than 1,200 HOA tax returns for this company, and it was one of my favorite parts of my job. I’m excited to bring this experience to our new business and help future HOAs and HOA companies accomplish their tax goals.
